Well im still a nub. Ive been shooting since december but i shoot allot so i got better pretty fast.
Only advice i have from what ive learned is getting your exposures good and not relying on photoshop to fix your exposure mistakes.
You also gotta find the type of style that you have. If your interested in macro your gonna have to get a special macro lens for that. And portraits are a whole nother game. u gotta have lighting then, all sorts of things.
GL and just take a bunch of pics, Look at the exif data of each shot and find out what you shot good and what was bad and match the data so u can learn.

I figured that I would need a lot of practice... Experience is something that I need to get a lot off so I can develope my own style/technique... Thanks for the tips... Yeah, I hear you on the photomanipulation... Only reason I havent been about to shoot as much is cause of work... I have to pay the bills somehow
... Mortgage sucks!!!
I have a long road ahead of me... It should be a fun learning experience though
...
Keep the great pics coming... Thanks again...

yea. capturing the mood and everything takes work and practice. There are so many ways of capturing a scene it is ridiculous. I havent even gotten started on filters etc. I need to learn how to get good photos with just the raw equipment, then progress to filters etc.
The only thing that doesn't come completely through practice is having an eye for shots. Your eye for shots gets better the more you take them, but some people have better eyes for photos than others and no practice can change that.

There is something about this picture that I really like. It reminds me a nice peaceful day at work. I also like how the truck is clean. Tells me that the driver is a man of pride and honor. Very nice pic.
