Well guys… on my arrival back to the US I’m going to start the final project Flo-RidaZ33 build and hopefully have it completed by the end of this year. My Z has gone through many different looks but I’ve found one that I’m going to stick with for a long time.

History of this particular Z:

I picked it up when I was working for Lexus of West Kendall back in 2008, it was taken in as a trade and beat to hell. I was working 70hrs a week and barely made 35k for the year so this was the best I can do. The woman that drove it prior to my purchase was... a smoker, coffee drinker, and had cats/dogs. She never bothered to wash it and when she did she used degreaser to get the bugs off the front bumper... thats it. It needed all 4 brakes, rotors, tires and paint for the front bumper.

I was a professional detailer for Lexus from 2004-2006 so I had the know how and materials to get the car looking clean. It took about 6-7hrs to get the car up to my standard which included taking most of the plastic panels out and the seats to get all the dog, cat, Yedi hair out of the carpet... it was all white and blonde hair mind you. Wet sanding, polishing, then waxing the whole car.

Fast forward to 2011... I was able to get a job that pretty much saved my life and allows me the luxury of modding my Z to it's current state, never in my life did I ever think I'd own a car that would never be confused for anyone else's... not only locally but on this forum as well. Through the help of Adam at Z1auto, Various Moderators, Mark at Ravspec, and MY350z's Marketplace I was able to piece together my Z.

Thanks... I'll update as I go. The exterior is going to take a while, I'll do a proper photo shoot when it's done but the updates will come often when I get back. I have 2+ months to go.

Oh man if you only knew... I left the sad stuff out, I'm trying to keep this a happy thread.

Thanks for the kind words Lo... I'm planning on having all the GT parts in my possesion by the first week of Oct so if Danny doesn't have anything in his shop to try to get it completed by the end of Oct. The INGS set up should be in the US by the end of Sept soooo after the Supercharger goes in... the exterior should be completed by December or lat November.

Just curious, your new job is military?

 

Nope... I was in for 6 years as an Airborne Communications Specialist on CSAR C-130's (Reserves) and was working for Lexus of West Kendall/West Kendall Toyota for 8yrs. My job is a contractor flying UAV's.

 

So looking forward your build, its going to be nuts. Goodluck with everything. Also, imo one of the most tastefully modded Z on this site.
