hahaha, yeah, they're pretty good i suppose. Thats just my running around set up. There is still plenty of motor left, more room for additional boost too. Maybe at some point we'll crank it up and see what she'll throw down, but I already have traction issues on the dyno, even with VHT, so we'll see. Glad you guys like. I'll see ya'll at ZdayZ if your going.

Well, I decided to spice up my bay a bit. Bc of the airbrushing on the hood, I've never wanted to open my hood much and take away from the paintwork, and when I did open the hood, there wasn't much to look at anyway. But, enough people want to look at the engine bay, so I decided to get to work on it.
This is stage 1 of my engine bay beautification. I still don't want to draw a lot of attention to the bay, so my goal was to make it more appealing while maintaining a simple, clean look. With that in mind, I went with a black and polished theme.
Here's what I added:
painted intake plenum black (I just rattle canned it to see if I like it, and I'll probably get it PCd if I decide to stick with the black)
ARC suction pipe
ARC induction box - polished
ARC v2 oil catch can
RareJDM polished harness cover
Earls stainless steel lines and black anodized fittings for the catch can
Earls hose holders for the stainless lines on the passenger side of the bay (rattle canned black, but I'll probably PC or anodize these)
Special thanks to NismoZR for his guidance with the lines/fittings for the oil catch can!
Pics:
I also picked this up to add to the engine bay, but haven't figured out exactly how I'm going to do it yet. I'm thinking of making a bracket so it will mount angling up so it will be visible through the big vent in the hood:
Also redid my headlights with RGB demon eyes, led strips along the bottom and outside edge, and flat black shrouds, but I s'pose that's for another thread...

I looked through all 46 pages of his build thread and he only mentions it once and doesn't show any pics of the relocation..
I did find pics of how he rerouted the brake lines, so that'll be helpful when I do mine!

I'll send him a PM if I don't see what I need in that thread. Thanks.

so.. how did everyone paint the indented letters contrasting colors on the battery and fluid covers... I just painted my covers Magnetic Black but want the letters red... do you clear everything then paint the letters red and wet sand over them to remove the red overspray?

my Mishit plate fit just fine, all you have to do is drill the holes out a tad larger, not a big deal. Took me all of five minutes.
i want that ARC part.. must google "sr20 cover" lol..
my recent addition, cusco stb.. im pulling it back off tho and painting the brackets semi gloss black .. after all the wait for powdercaoting silver, i dont really love it.. too bland. Also Talked to Chris about doing one off Washers for the STB kit bolts.. the cusco has plenty of room, Id like them to all match.
thanks to new engine mounts, this thing hovers a fraction of an inch over my intake tube and plenum.. no rattles yet. Fits like gang busters even with a 3/8ths powerlab plenum spacer.

I very much admire your engine bay.. so clean. I have been looking for the S20 cam cover for a while.. you can get em new, but they get snagged quick when for sale used. I think it is boomer or someone who has a few pics with it installed covering the timing cover and it looks **** if mounted right.
