My buddy owns a CF shop and decided to make these. Snagged one off of him. Love these things, he's also making me a CF radiator diversion panel.

Weight difference in case anyone was wondering. - This is actual carbon fiber, made by an actual composites shop who makes parts for IndyCar, Formula cars, and Military satellites.

So he copied a Rare JDM cover, but made it out of carbon fiber? That's some innovation right there.

It's about as much innovation as the carbon fiber battery/brake fluid covers, carbon fiber plenum cover, and carbon fiber interior bits. Thanks for your input.

the back of the part says it all!! way too much ressin used...and as far as i can tell it's not even one single piece. imo i would expect better quality from a shop

This is probably the best pic that I have, only thing that has changed is I ran the plugs to the engine harness through the timing cover and added the purple oil cap...

Just saw your reply. It's prepreg cf, which is balanced before it is shipped out. It has a perfect fiber to resin ratio. The back looks that way because of the way it has to be molded.

Also, it is one single piece, and this was a piece that had not yet been finished. This was straight out of the autoclave.

IIQuickSilverII as well as vex008 both purchased one, and have both been more than pleased with the quality of the product.

received mine last Thursday.
quality work on the cf cover quintonC posted is great.
honestly exceeded my expectations. my initial plans were to get the metal one and wrap it in cf anyway so this was perfect and looks far better than what I would have accomplished. And the underside of it looks far better than other cf parts I have got from more well known shops/brands where they didn't seem to want to spend the extra time or cost to spray and finish the underside.

Thanks for grabbing one, Richard.

Shawn and I put a lot of time into making that thing look and fit just right
