on a LHD 350z 03-06 it is on the drivers side. Youll be able to trace the rubber hose and hard pipe to it. Youll have to remove the cowl pieces. Getting the hard pipe out is doable but a pain.

its not that bad to remove. Jsut have to twist and move around...takes like 5 minutes.

You could leave it but that would defeat the purpose of an engine tuck.

you can see the hole where i rerouted the brake booster line just below the cowl mounting tab on the drivers side. I had the old hole where the hard line came through patched up and painted.

you could but you would still have to cap off the original. The mod is best done with an aftermarket plenum.

You can see the exposed nipple in this pic (thanks to sgfl2010) and you can also see why we wire tuck. Crazy though, i look at these bays and they are amazingly clean but it never hurts to remind yourself what OEM was.

recently did a engine and body wire tuck, added one piece charge pipe for the vortech, replaced and painted valve cover and deleted the radiator crossover hose.

It looks like he just bought polished parts for the most part.
Polished rare jdm engine cover, polished fluid tanks, polished cusco strut bar, and then he might have sanded down and polished the plenum or just bought a polished one, as well as the timing cover, and throttle body, and CAI.

Default carbon fiber engine help

I have a 2003 track model. replaced stock hood with 2006+ VIS CF hood.
have this exact hood..http://www.vividracing.com/forums/ga...3/f-350z02.jpg

Cant latch hood with the battery and BF covers on ... tried with and without the CF covers on these and couldn't get to latch either way...

Does it have plastic shields under where the vents are? You might have to take those off I just bought a VIS hood as well and was for seeing a problem as well.

Here is my tucked bay. Still have a TON to do obviously, polishing, painting, shaving the firewall, strut towers, braided lines etc. And of course installing my Vortech kit I bought last week

yes the cf covers are just that... covers. so you have to use the original ones too. even with the cf covers off the original covers cant be used... the hood wont close.
