Can someone educate me please?

What does this bar do? The one that ties together the two shifter-looking-assemblies?

 

my guess is.. that the engine is pushed back. and same goes for the transmission . so the shifting point is different.
so they had to extend the shiftnob. thats why the exhaust is located inside of the car too

hes correct, the shifter is pushed back, that attachment allows the shifter to function in the normal place, its pretty common on engine swaps.

 

the mastergrade Z is hot. Turn out they look pretty good.
