Must've been pretty dramatic in that tunnel when it all happened. Good to see that you're alright for the most part.

Get some pics once you have the car back on it's feet.

Don't take this the wrong way... but i'm finding it kind of funny how most ppl here are just saying "tsk tsk" about her not wearing a seatbelt. Whereas if it were a dude saying that, we'd all be ****ting down his throat. Imo, i think you're stupid and are lucky to end up with just bumps and scrapes. Especially for not wearing one only because it wasn't comfortable with your jacket on. Didn't think there were still ppl who consider a seatbelt optional to wear only when it's convenient.

You are lucky you didn't get hurt seriously... because it would be hard for me to feel sorry for someone who maims / kills themself in a situation where a seatbelt would've saved them.

I thought only uneducated people were foolish enough to not wear a seatbelt in this day and age... honestly now.

Yes I know I should have been wearing one. I was like 5 mins away from work at that point. I usually wear it but I didnt and I dont think it wouldve made much of a difference because I didnt really hit anything due to being "loose" in the car.

Someone said something about my being reckless and good thing I didnt kill any little kids. Yes I do realize if I was going 30 mph, I wouldnt have wrecked my car but that doesnt mean that I go 100mph everywhere I go and endanger others in my path. Esp little kids. I wont even drive over 5 mph if I see kids playing anywhere near me so yes it is easy to call me out for going 50mph and saying Im just a maniac but I was no where near a local street where there may have been people around and I was coming off a highway into a tunnel. I do like to drive fast and if/when I do, I am alone and away from other cars. FYI, I have driven by the scene about 5 times since the accident and there is a huge ditch in the road and the pavement in that one spot seems to always have some water on it. There were about 5 different factors that caused my accident but Im no a*hole for being an aggressive driver. Plenty of guys drive like maniacs. I dont even consider myself one but yes I do like to drive. I am an extremely cautious driver because I also ride a bike so Im just trained to always be on the look out.

And no body kits guys!!!! I dont wanna have to worry about scraping the kit when Im busy driving like a maniac.

You’re very lucky that you only landed on your passenger seat rather than thru the passenger front or the side windows.

Glad your ok.

I never claimed this to be my philosophy. I didnt have my belt on. Thats it. I dont see a point in arguing about this after the fact. Will I wear my belt from now on? YES. Luckily, I came away with minor bruising. I never claimed to be all big and bad about it.

I did get a ticket but not for the seat belt. I handed the officer the wrong ins card.

I don't think he was trying to argue with you. What he said is true.

Ok but I dont need 50 people telling me I need to wear my belt. Yes, I know i should that day I didnt. My belt has 0 to do with my accident though. It didnt cause it, now did it?

Glad to hear you are OK. Don't want to see someone from my hometown (SI) hurt.

Just out of curiosity, what tunnel did this happen in?

7K doesn't seem like that much for the repairs based upon the pics, to be honest. I just had a car service run a stop sign and nail me in BK about a month ago. It seemed like alot less damage and was over 5K to fix.
