Car's looking good bro. My brother just picked up the D50 "kit" (that comes with two lens' etc) and it can do some amazing things for the price.

Once you figure out how to operate a DSLR of course...

One other thing to improve your photographs - when shooting wheels, turn them so that they are facing you. Get less tire, more wheel. Framing it differently also draws the eye. If you had framed it to the left and took the shot in an open area, it creates a different view. Anyway, the photographer in me will shut up now =)

Here's an example to give you an idea how turning the wheel to have it facing you changes the shot:

This was a quick shot after work one day but if I were doing a photoshoot, I'd select a location that wouldn't have a reflection of a building on the paint and I'd make sure the back drop was free of objects (ie cars).

I'm as much of a photoshop noob as a photography noob, so I hope you don't mind I played around with your photo a bit to try some new things I hadn't done before. As someone noted above I desaturated the dumpster a bit as I'm not sure exactly how to "remove" things completely (any tips appreciated). I also desaturated the entire background a TINY bit and blurred it one notch. I also added a tiny bit of blue highlight and contrast to the car... It may look a little 'overprocessed' to some, but I had a fun time toying around.

Sweet... The burnout PS is cool.

How exactly did you create the smoke effect?

The way that I do it is create another layer and use the cloud feature. From there you "erase" the areas if the cloud layer that you dont need....takes a bit to really get it looking right though
