ok im just kidding. my friend is doing a CG project for his class and sent me this pic so far. so im sharing with yall. i think its a good start

Non uniform rational B-Splines versus polygonal surface geometry. There is a 3d model you can purchase for around 70 bucks which has been used for many projects.

That's what it looks like. But the only program I know of that can render NURBS as NURBS as oppose to the NURBS auto convert to polygon is Houdini. If you know Houdini then prepare for $$$.

Cars and spaceships are alright if you make it cutting edge and magnificent. Although ost student demo reels look like and big breasted women.

Rhino/Flamingo, or Maya? That looks like Maya to me.
