Default PICS of my Z @ Tail of the Dragon

Finally got some pics of my Z in action and wanted to share them with everyone.

Tail of the Dragon (Deals Gap) for those who don't know its located in the mountains between the NC and TN boarder. Its an 11 mile stretch filled with twists and turns.

It was a lot of fun and really pushed the Z's handling to the limit. I went with some other friends of mine who are also members of this forum.

I drive the SS S/C Z BTW, the others are: imonlykidden Black TT Z & got chub Silver N/A Z. Suggestions or opinions are welcomed, enjoy

Cool shots. I live about 30-40 minutes from there. Supposed to be going to an alltrac/mr2 meet up there in a couple of weeks to take some video.

Thanks for all the kind words. It was a lot of fun and I have been wanting to go back since we left. I did realize that I needed to make some adjustments to my suspension for next time and I would also like to get one of those video camera mounts to get some better footage. There was a guy that had one on his WRX and the playback was awesome. If there is anyone that is thinking about going anytime soon let me know, I would like to tag along. There was another White ST Z which was suppose to come along but couldn't make it, we where gonna get them in line to form a gray-scale LOL. Maybe next time.

There is a E. TN Z meet on the 22nd.

I should be up there with a gtfour meet and mr2 meet. I might bring the Z as well if I can get my wife to drive it.

Here is the info:

Date:* Sunday, October 22
Time:* 11:30 AM
Meeting Place:* Texas Roadhouse in Alcoa
(If you want to mapquest directions, the address is334 Fountain View Cir, Alcoa, TN)

After lunch, we will be taking a drive around the Tail of the Dragon/Cherohala Skyway loop.* It will be a long drive, and as Troy said it's pretty demanding on your car.* Make sure you have a full tank of gas before you come to the meet.* Also, try to be close to ontime as we are trying to beet the church crowd.* After we drive the loop (it should take several hours) we will stop and eat dinner somewhere (depending on where we are when we hit dinner time) and then head home.*

PLEASE RSVP AS SOON AS POSSIBLE BY RETURNING THIS EMAIL!

Thanks for the invite man. I will def. try to come out, ill find out for sure by next week. I will e-mail or PM when I do.

Just my luck, Triangle Z Club's annual meet is this weekend in Durham. I will be attending you should come as well. More PICS to follow

Does anyone know a good place to get those video mounts, I don't want anything low quality that will fall off my car and destroy my camera. Thanks!

Try http://www.ioportracing.com

That is what I used in my Z when I go out on the track. Or look for a head rest camera mount? http://www.ecstuning.com

Can someone post what roads and route make up the "Tail of the Dragon"? I live up near Philly and this DEFINATELY sounds cool and something I want to put on my "To Do" list for next Fall! Not sure I can swing my schedule to make it next Sunday (10/22). It could be quite a haul for me. It might be a cool long weekend getaway to plan for next Fall though. What are the best times to go in the Fall to take in all of the nice Fall colors? Maybe is you have a separate email distribution list you keep I can PM you mu email address so I can be kept in the loop (no pun intended) for future meets/runs.
