To the OP, definitely cool that you tried something different but I think Chimmike is right in the sense that why would someone spend $175 for exhaust piping that is worse than stock? It definitely does make a huge difference whether or not someone uses mandrel bent piping versus piping that uses crush bends. In the future, here is an option for you.... Mike's muffler in El Monte as they have the right equipment to get you a nice custom exhaust setup.

Mike's Muffler
12222 Garvey Avenue, El Monte, CA 91732
(626) 443-5139

Obviously it comes down to personal preference and choice, but I think before modding so quickly just take a breath and think about whether or not you are improving on your car or degrading it over stock

His wing is certainly styled after the Voltex wing but it appears in the picture to say CyberSpeed on the side, which is a subsidiary of Sun Automobile USA whom he has a decal for near the fender. All I'm saying is that his only argument as to why his wing is so bad a$$ is because it's expensive. To me thats ridiculous. I don't buy parts assuming they're nice because of the price tag on them.

As for the OP, you all need to re-read his posts because he states this his exhaust was mandrel bent.

Honestly, who cares what anyone else thinks? You said it yourself, you like how the exhaust looks and sounds, and that's all that matters. It's your money, not any of ours. And I think it looks good. Get up some sounds clips already!

And you guys need to read his posts before flaming away. chimmike, you put up 3 or 4 posts about him needing mandrel piping when he already stated that it WAS mandrel bent. You guys are all single-minded...

And the guy with the huge expensive wing... it doesn't matter if that wing cost 3 g's and was track bred and wind-tunnel tested and lowers your coefficient of drag by .02 or whatever your justification is.... a gigantic wing looks ridiculous on the street, even if it is on a Z and cost 3 g's. Everyone has their opinion, but I don't think YOU of all people should be telling this guy he's a ricer... pot calling the kettle black.

Even it it rusts out after 2 years, how many times would he have to replace it before he was up to the cost of a NISMO exhaust?

Anyway, I prefer the look of the dual exhaust, but this is probably lighter than the stock system. And don't worry about the crush bends. Its not like an exhaust system without any other mods really does much anyway. I would say the power difference between crush bent and mandrel bent tubing in the same size would be very minimal, probably not even noticable. So, just enjoy it, and don't let these guys try to ruin your fun.

+1

Obviously to him...it sounds great and he is happy with it. So many people here feel the need to bring others down just to lift themselves up. It's quite pathetic.

I like it. Single exhausts seem to be gaining popularity. Looks good, shouldn't flow any worse than stock, and saves a ton of weight - nicely done.

See now this is a stand up guy and it shows. no harsh comments in combination with something actually helpful to the thread starter, a business and the forums in general.

Some of you guys need to take a lesson, hell I bet rickdogg could charge you a pretty penny for the lessons too... you get what you pay for right? and if that were the case im sure it would be top notch advice you would receive.

Although im sure he doesn’t have the time nor the patients

the exaust looks great, especialy for the price
