Default My $175 Exhaust PICS

Well, after hearing numerous clips of Z's with single exhaust, I decided to do my own custom single. I used a Megan Racing Carbon Universal muffler and got the piping done at a local shop here in fullerton. It sounds even better then I thought it would!! Its deep, clean, perfect loudness, and just sounds like pure secks! No rasp whatsoever, nothing like a civic or weed eater. In a way, it almost sounds like a loud version of the nismo (my buddy has nismo). Well, anyway, all in all, it only cost me $175. I maybe got a little power out of it but not much. Im just glad I didnt loose any power. I'll try to get vids up soon. Here are the pics

Exhaust looks decent but not feeling the wheels. Props for going custom. Have you thought about spacers?

It would be awesome if you could get sound clips. And yeah, not feeling the wheels at all, non-staggered 4TL

The real question is though...does it sound like a $175 exhaust AND does it have the quality of a $175 exhaust. There is a reason why HKS, Nismo, etc. cost quite a bit.

go with 20mm spacers...looks like you might have to go with aggresive spacers of this size. It seems that your wheels are way to tucked in

Quit hating on his wheels. Its all in a persons personal preference. Perhaps because they are not staggered his car doesnt handle as well as it could, but some people dont care as much as others.

Exhaust looks alright, would love to see how it sounds too.

you really need to change the license plate frame

if you like the exhaust and think it sounds good i guess you accomplished what you were trying to do. Just seems like you are ricing the car out with these cheapy mods.

+1, It'll look much more aggressive, IMO the wheels are'nt bad at all. Nice job on the exhaust, it's got a nice angle to it. Do post sound pics.

huge exhaust lol. even with rear bumper folded up that thing still barely has clearance. I like the exhaust. not the wheels though.

So because he didn't spend $1000 on his exhaust he is "ricing the car out"?

I'll give you props for straying from the norm and making your own custom job and not spending an arm and a leg on it. You said it sounds perfect for you and you don't think you lost any power, so IMO you achieved your goals perfectly. Good on you. F*ck all these haters that think the only way to go is the bolt-on's and doing what everyone else does.
