Default New mod for fiance's Eclipse GT

Thought I would share a pic of the custom dual setup just completed on my fiance's 01 Eclipse GT. It is a catback sys with 2.5" piping exiting into Magnaflow's street series mufflers.

Nice. I have the 3.0 in my Stratus coupe, did you see any gains?

It runs pretty good for a 3.0 V6. Have never had the car dynoed though. The exhaust coupled with the Injen CAI and Proflow TB adds a decent kick over stock.

The Proflow TB is rebored to 62mm, stock is 60mm. It was fairly easy to install. Cost is $175. I had to sign up to a waiting list for it. Once the ship it, you install and then ship your old one back to them.

Are you a member of Club3g?

What kind of gains did this provide? Also, does the CAI still work w/the larger TB? What were your impressions on it?

Thanks,
Cory

Throttle response and top end are improved. The CAI is still a perfect fit. Essentially the TB is a stock unit with a rebored core to 62mm.

Very clean EnthusiastZ, very clean. That 3.0 V6 is a solid engine. People couldn't believe how fast my 2000 Eclipse GT was. In the right hands they can do a lot more than most people realize. I always wished I had gotten mine dynoed because it seemed really strong, more than it should have been.

The first time you drive the Z you won't even remember that you owned an Eclipse.
