Default Ran the gap and the Cherohala!

We made a couple runs through the gap today and then hit the Cherohala Skyway. Last week it was 80* and Saturday morning it snowed up there! I made a couple shots when we stopped but nothing while we were rolling. I'll try to post a little more notice next time we go.

If you check Killboy.com you might find more pics of your run in a couple of days. It might have been too cold for them to be out there though.

None of the regular gap photographers were out today, I think it was way to cold for em! We did come up on one crash today, someone in a RX8 had left the road and hit an embankment. We were also told that a VW had hit a guardrail yesterday. And yes I've heard of Rome, I actually went to school and church there for a couple of years. I'm originally from Kingston Georgia but due to changing circumstances I have managed to end up in Lafayette. Can't complain, it's pretty nice here!

I think there is a wreck everytime I go out there. My friend totalled his mr2 last time we went out.

We are having an All Toyota meet out there the weekend of the 27th. So if any of you are out, say hi.

I was out there the weekend of the 31st and had a blast. Killboy was in bham and Barber motorsports, but he had some of his crew at the dragon taking pictures. I'm the only Z in the set that was black with black wheels.

I was just happy the weather was very cooperative and the only semi truck we saw was going through while we were eating lunch.

Unique That's one way to put it! I didn't live in town but that's the Post Office our mail went through. I actually went to junior high in Rome at Saint Marys.

Calling it popular would be an understatement! Do a search on youtube for deals gap or tail of the dragon and you will find quite a few videos that have been shot there. People come from all over North America to spend some time on this road. Here's a couple pics from a previous trip including the "tree of shame".
