Some people just don’t have any creativity or artistic ability. To each their own. It is no where close to the same color as the eclipse.

The reason I bought the Z was to make a show car. I have about another 5k to spend this year. I plan on a TT next year I would like to have the motor built when I go TT.

Thanks for the comments good and bad. I will post photos ASAP.

The reason I went with the exterior first is my dad backed my car into my MX trailer a while back and it tore a hole in the rear bumper. So I had it fixed.
As an artist I am going to have to go ahead and take offense to that comment. Doing something different does not make you an artist and it does not make it look good. The trick to being successful at art (so far as cars ar concerned) is exploiting the simple shapes that the car has, much like a sculptor would look at a piece of bronze or marble, sure they could paint it bright green but that would detract from the overall beauty of it.

A beautiful car is the same way, look at it as a scultpture and how you can enhance the strengths of the beauty that is already there. Go ahead and toss all kinds of the over-the-top body work and colors at it you want and call it different, but please do not call it art.

Look at Leemik's and Nitrouz's cars, they are georgous by way of detail and creative pairings of subtle body pieces, enhancing the natural beauty of their cars.

I don't mean to bash your car, and I usually don't comment on cars that I don't like but I felt compelled to respond to your statement. Your right, to each his own.

A don’t believe an artist tries to please others only them selves. If others like it good if not so be it. I was not trying to say I am an artist because I had my car kitted and painted. However I do believe that Foose, Boyd and guys like that are artists and probably took some kind of criticism for their work for cutting up a stock car and changing it. It is a matter of opinion of what enhances a cars body lines. I personally think the Veilside kit does enhance the car and apparently so do a lot of others. Now I’m just judging buy their sales. I personally have a very open mind about what others like and dislike. It is funny how someone can judge a car as rice without seeing it completed. And that whole rice thing is just stupid as he!!. I like bright colors so I have a green car. Now its labeled rice by some narrow minded inbred that has no foresight or creative processes. I’m sorry it’s just bull$hit. I do believe that building a show car is art as is building a show motorcycle boat, etc. I’m not trying to be successful or please anyone buy building a car.

Well I never referred to your car as rice, I would refer to is dis-tasteful but thats besides the point.

Art is not only for its creator, its purpose is to communicate visually, obviously what is being said doesn't have to please everyone. Art is a subjective thing, thats the point. But within its subjectivity there lies boundaries of what can be considered sound design.

I have no problem with your car, it isn't my taste and I don't mean to get into a fuss over this, I just wanted to state my persepective as an artist.

Foose and Boyd are artists in a sense, they do their job very well, like I said earlier, by attention to detail and knowing what enhances the natural beauty of a car. I guess I don't think a car should be a super bright color because it detracts from the lines of the car by placing your attention elsewhere. Same with the body kit.

No hard feelings, just sharing some thoughts. Even if I don't care for the way the car is done I can still respect it if it is done with quality and detail in mind.

I think it looks terrible. And since when does a show car have to be a bright color?

On the other hand, if you are happy with it than that is all that matters.

Not in love with the color, BUT I need to see the final product before I past judgement! Bodyman looks to know what he's doing.

I say kudos for doing your own thing. Would I do it? No, not my style. But it'll turn out clean once it's done... bright as hell, but clean. Good luck with it.

Actually, I have the Veilside V1 wing, and its functional. ( it adjusts to create downforce)

People are associating the color of this car with the color of the main car in F&F, and that's it. Just like I get asked every week by someone, if my car is the same car that was in F&F3.

Do some searching and you'll see that Porsche, Lambo both make cars in bright colors. So are they too considered rice? There are several Ferrari's that have racing stripes. Are they rice?
This means absolutely nothing in my book. The masterpieces you have listed above have years of R&D behind it. They didnt just throw some kit on a car and paint it an obnoxious color. In a sense, high end cars can back up there wild colors. Not because they cost alot, but because the styling cues go along with the car and its color. Im sorry but all this "Thanks for being different" doesn't fly with me. Great if your different and you make it work .. but being different in itself isn't an accomplishment. Now, if you were to say "to each his own" ... well I can appreciate that.

lol ... Its not the paint by itself, the job actually looks well done. The horrendous kit and the color combo's just dont work. In the end .. looks like you did great work, hope you like it.

Kudos to you for going out on a limb! I am not a fan of the kit, but I love green. Nice work and nice to see someone that is willing to take a risk and stray from what everyone else thinks is cool or nice. Great job!
