I Just got my new NIKON D80 a week ago.
The picture can be a LOT better, and I still dont know how the camera fully works so..
P.S- No rolling shots pix of my Z.. Friend cant drive stick

not bad, your right, they could be better... some PS could help, but then you don't want to use ps too much
Stick to shooting close to the car unless you have a nice background in the back, like photo 6 and on.
But good pics, keep working on it! I'm no expert myself but just some noob advice

But I shot most of them in auto mode, some I shot with Manual focus, and the rolling shots I put it on the "speed" mode. for automotive shots, location is very important. you want minimal reflections on the car from trees, poles, power lines, etc.. since they take away from a clean shot.
as someone mentioned, unless you have a gorgeous scenery behind you, use longer focal lengths for compression. keep the car as the main focus and the background something that isn't a distraction. for automotive shots, I prefer using a telephoto lens instead of a wide angle lens.
A few shots I took earlier this week for a visual explanation on compression with a telephoto lens and keeping the car as the main focal point and the background as a support.
