Hey guys I'm looking at buying a new steering wheel. Just one question though, is any more dangerous having an quality aftermarket steering wheel with a works bell?

I'm looking to get my interior ready for brides. I love the key's racing steering wheels, I wanna find a decent deal on one though.

theres no difference as far as safety from one wheel to the next if installed properly.

works bell is a well known quality company, most of the replica companies copy their designs.

It's absolutely more "dangerous" using an aftermarket wheel rather than your stock wheel, since you are deleting the driver's side airbag. However there really isn't a lot of difference, safety wise if you are only comparing a non-quick-release and a quick-release hub.

It's not likely you'll find a "deal" on a key!s racing wheel, but they only go for around $350. The problem is few companies stock them. I had to wait 3 months for mine to come in from Japan lol.

was he asking about safety of stock vs aftermarket? thats a silly question though if you have glasses and are short and sit close to the steering wheel u can break your glasses and get glass in the eye :P

Thanks for the replies. Yea I was just concerned with the airbag and what not. Obviously its more dangerous without the airbag, just thought i'd get your opinions on it. A good deal to me would be a company that would have one in stock not so much a lower price, I know I have to pay to play lol. Currently waiting 8 months for my Volks LOL. I totally understand that game.

You can get the Nismo steering wheel from Z1 Performance and it has an airbag.

Unfortunately at this time we do not offer a Nismo or any other aftermarket steering wheel equipped with an airbag. The ones we previously offered have since been discontinued.

Yeah sadly some of the good parts discontinued due to lack of demand, just like that Nismo airbag bypass for aftermarket seats . It's discontinued and I've been searching for one but no luck whatsoever....
