New toy...xmas present to myself
Better pics to come in a couple weeks...
some friends took a couple of pics... too bad no action shots on the windy highway... scraped the footpegs a couple times. But still have to wait until the weather warms up to fully get rid of the chicken strips...

I posted my impressions of the bike in the motorcycle forum...I'll post it here too in case anyone is wondering...
So...............I picked it up on Friday, forgot to bring my gear, so I had them trailor it to my house (free delivery anyways).
Once I got home, I took off the fairings and checked the bike. After that, I put on my gear and went out for a 3 hour joyride. Damn this thing put a smile on my face. I was planning on taking some pics when I get home to grab my camera. But it started snowing!!! So I had to ride it home extra slow..and no pics probably until next weekend. It's beautiful...
I thought I'd miss the clutch chatter a lot more than I did. I loved the chatter of the dry clutch, but this thing sounds AWESOME without the clunk clunk clunk noise. The engine is so smooth...the power is more than adequate for me...and I can't wait until I put some Termi's on.
The thing turns like a dream...you don't need much input. You think it, you turn your head, the bike goes that way. It's so light and narrow...and so agile. The power is there too....EVERYWHERE in the powerband. Moving to an 848 from an R6 feels like going from a turbo Z to a Z06. So much fun. I couldn't stop smiling...luckily my visor is tinted. The only downside is that it draws a little too much attention...people taking pics while in the car, or just walking down the street. I take it as a compliment, but not so much when I'm just trying to enjoy the ride.
The bike does not like traffic. It does not like city riding. Riding the 35mph speed limit, second gear is optimum...third gear, it starts to tug a bit, and feels like it's going to stall. But once you're in the powerband, hold on! Second gear power wheelies are as easy as my hot private schooled neighbor chick. Never leaves you hanging.
Anyways I can't wait for the snow to melt and for it to stop raining....I need to ride it!!!!
