Thats a pretty common practice. Back in my home town there were several cars that were like that. They took a 5.0 mustang and even repainted it and put lights on the top. There was also a niiiiice tricked out camaro around town that everyone always talked about and wanted to race, until we saw the guy getting out of his car and it was a cop! lol that was shock... he could've been off duty but we nobody was taking any chances.

I always heard they had a lambo/ferrari waiting in the wings if they needed it, but never saw it.

 

Sometimes the cops driving these cars are worse then the actual racers. They just drive around looking for a race, try to egg you on then bust ya. Have not seen these cars on the streets yet and hope not to

I wonder if they educated the cop driving that Z on what the gauges do and how to maintain the turbo system. Thats crazy though.

 

I would love to call the police while some douchebag in a blue turbo'd 350z was tailgaiting me or riding right next to me or doing something else irresponsible to try to get me to do something equally irresponsible.

Seems like some form of entrapment to me. Maybe there's no way around it but I don't like how cops can go aove the law to enforce the law.

 

yeah richmond va had a civic hatch and a gti hatch that where out to egg on street racers. I think its BS to antagonize others into a race. Sheit...if someone was revving at my dad enough I am sure he would race them.

 

we have undercover guys (who don't bust you) that infiltrate racing circuits around the city, and they radio the marked cops when they come into their a/r.

we don't know who they are, but it's in our community report (we have 4 cops that live in our neighborhood).

the 350z is a Base model Z with a greddy twin turbo Greddy 8 piston brakes in the front and 6 piston in the back.....car also has a volk racing rims....the car was taken away last year in NC Charlotte.....

 

i'ma steel it's brakes.

 

Don't worry about it guys, CMPD brought the car to the shop and it runs like ****. We got it running after it sat for a couple months and it smokes like a chimney. It's a Greddy Twin turbo with emanage blue and a borla exhaust with gold volk gtc's and Greddy Brakes.

Not to mention, the mustang and 350z they will be using, are OBVIOUS undercover cars, the lights aren't even remotely hidden. So Charlotte guys, if they roll up on you, just point and laugh.
