the housing is cf (obviously), but I can't say how they were made...the person that did the lights for me will be releasing them soon I believe he can make them for the Z as well

you're not the first to say this, but the whole theme is cf/silver
Everything in moderation...paint your hood but leave the vents unpainted to reveal the true nature of it. Paint your trunk...you already have enough black on the rear valence. That still leaves you with fully exposed carbon fiber headlights, mirrors and a roof. Balance is key...it'll look great if you do that, trust me...and get a nice set of wheels (which you said you're taking care of).
Other people have asked me the same thing. Hopefully not. The resin is UV resistant as well as the clear coat. Hopefully they do their job It's not the cf itself that fades, it's the resin, which discolors the cf. That's why it's really important to use a quality UV resin. I guess I'll find out.
