Default Started painting the Z's wheels

Started on the wheels today and I wanted more of a GTR gunmetal wheel color than the Duplicolor graphite wheel paint which almost looks bronze/brown. So I chose Duplicolor Storm grey and this is what I have so far. And sorry for the cell phone pics.

Before:

After first coat of paint:

After three coats of Duplicolor wheel clear:

Now 3 more wheels to do...

Question: Is that coat going to hold in daily driving conditions?

Freshly painted Redline thanks to some douche at Walmart that keyed my car, stole my emblems, antenna and ripped up my 30 day tag.

just wondering, why didn't you just do all 4 at once? I just have all my wheels prepped, and then 1 coat to each of em... wait a bit, then another coat to all of em, etc.

BTW, to save some tape (and probably time), I just get a bunch of note cards and line them up along the edge of the rim. Works great for me.

I only have one jack to do the work with and I figure I will just take my time since I am in no hurry anyway. I took a sick day today to work on them though. The first one is mounted on the car and I have started on another... this time its more challenging since I am having to repair curb damage thanks to the mindless girl who used to own it. Oh and this pic sucks I know but the sun was coming into the garage and freaking out my camera... thats the only angle I could get at the moment.

I love the color but I really have to say I hate the stock wheels. Guess I will finish the other 2 and keep saving up for wheels.
