Tell the GTR he needs to learn how to park. Add some spacers to the stock wheels, it'll look a ton better.

I wouldn't really say that the Z is stock, since its lowered. Those stock wheels are probably the only ones that actually look pretty good painted black.

Looks fine.

Does need spacers though, your painting made that more obvious.

Unpainted looks better. IMO painting stockers look cheap.

Ps. Your car is soo stock. LOL.

Why did you paint them in the first place? Just curious to hear the reason instead of getting something else.

Yup, already one step ahead of yah hopefully next weekend I'll be painting my headlight housings and buying some 15mm or 20mm spacers allaround.

Because I'm a poor college student that was bored one day and wanted something different. haha. I mean if you can find me a set of some Volk TE37's for 30 bucks. I'll buy em.

Oh, and that's not my GTR I just found it at a parking lot. Thanks for the comments guys! Will post better pics soon, probably after I bake my headlights and paint the housings!

car looks great honestly!

spacers would make the stance a bit more aggressive........see here:

I'm in the same situation. I have the same wheels in chrome and I don't want nice wheels being that I'm in school and there just gonna get beat up. How well is the paint holding up.. What kind of paint did you use ? How many layers? And I hear rumors that oem wheels that are painted can't handle the tire machine tire shops throw them on. I guess the speed it spins at starts cracking the paint???

I think it looks great for an inexpensive DIY mod. Nicely done

Thanks, I was pretty drunk when doing it so i don't really remember how many coats I did, I wanna say about 3-5? w/ 2 layers of clear coat. I went to auto parts store (auto zone, pep boyz, and etc) I found some high performance wheel spray paint, and high performance wheel clear coat. I'm sure it doesn't matter what kind of spray paint you use, I just bought the high performance wheel paint just to stay on the safe side. It's so far holding up great!! No crackin' or anything yet.
