I came home from work to my girl and her friend washing my car.... Well, finally got some decent pics of my car after a wash, claybar, and wax session. Makes me really hate the quality of the paint from up close. But i got some temp pictures up. That is until i finish working on my 06+ headlights which will improve my car tenfold. Mine are hazed and screwed. There will also be a better camera used.

Let me know what you think about it. Especially my as far as i know unique blacked out gauges. They are black when car is off and lit up when ever key is turned. Im concidering clear needles... yay?

 

i have two questions..first THAT IS BADA$$ homie....

What is different about the 06' lights? Do they just fit the 05's
Second how in the world did you get those gauges BLUE and not that ORANGE i have?

 

i like the black wheels on the the blue car but if it were mine, I would have to spend some serious time polishing it up to add some much needed depth to the paint and also sand the hell out of the headlights.

Personally, I like the stock gauges, but the blue on your car fits the theme so it doesn't look bad. Good job man

 

The 06 and up headlights look so much better and work so much better the 05 and down. and especially after i mod and paint my lights

There is a tutorial on here how to do the LED gauge conversion. It was a fun project.

 

Thank you. I would be keeping them polished and shiney but i have a GST eclipse in my garage that im rebuilding and is in my way of keeping my car clean. I spent 4 hours on it just to take some pics and it wasnt good enough. The next day it was dirty again. I never even bothered detailing the wheels yesterday.

And sanding my headlight is what got me in my crappy situation now. Note my drivers light tried a wet sand.... fail... But now i have a pair of 06+ that await mounting

 

I think i'll just buy aftermarket ones that are black and have the 8k hid in the already.
i'll have to check that out on the gauges was it hard?

my alpine i just ordered is blue and will contrast WAY too much. Blue would match perfectly!

 

dont do aftermarket headlights.... trust me... there is no quality ones out there. Blacking out 03-05, like seen above, is very easy. If you follow directions, and you take your time, it will be flawless.

The gauges weren't too hard. harder then most other cars.
I wouldnt recommend if your not too expierienced in soldering.

Stock calipers ruin a car.

What size, width, and offset are the rear wheels? Looks like you could fit a nice spacer to pop them out a bit.

 

Your telling me... trust me.. ive been harrassing some g35c owners for some brembos. Or some Akebono's.

 

Im nervous about it but between those and my door handles they stickout to me.

Any suggestions of matte/flat or glossy if i do it. Headlights will be matte on the inside but the lense puts a shine on them still.
