Nice 350Z/S2000/M3/GTR/Boxer video.
Don't know if you've seen this before, but I like it Note that it is in Japan so the Z is heavily restricted in the rpms/max speed here. Also they say at one point in the video about the GTR and the Z having the same power which is BS. They have the same avertised power as per Japanese law, but in fact the GTR is 340hp stock

BTW Japan dropped that law in 98. The top speed is limited, however, that speed is now higher then 180kph and the rev limiter is not set any lower then the North American versions. The GTR does have more then advertised, but it's more like 300hp, the AWD is the main advantage in this video with the wet track surface, along with better rubber and less understeer. In the dry, the GTR wouldn't have been able to reel in the distance that quick and the M3 and S2000 would have been more potent.
Always a great vid though!

Have to disagree with you on the Japan laws, I'm here and I washave a Japanese car and I'm in touch with the Japanese dealers. Last year the laws got tougher. Not sure what the other country rev limiters are set at but the speed limiter is set for about 180kmh, mine tops out at 188kph on the digital in both 5th and 6th gears. Also the figure of 340hp on the GTR was not just pulled out of the air, it was gotten from an independant magazine test. They tested all the high power cars for hp at the flywheel as the advertising rule puts them all at 280. The Z came out with 284, the GTR came out top at 340. THere were also impresive numbers for the Mitsubushi Evo and the Sybaru WRX STi.
