Yeah like everyone is saying. Color looks cool but the proper way would be to strip the caliper all the way down, removing all rubber seals, bleeder cap and screw and then painted. After paint you then rebuild with new bleeder's, caps and dust boots.

this doesnt make any sense. seeing as the inside of the caliper is covered by your brake pads, you will never ever see them. masking them off is a great way to ensure that the piston will remain functional. adding heat and paint onto its surface could sacrifice its reliability, and overall functionality. as kwame said, i hope you got rugged feets.

**edit-just noticed the poster above me is named barefootracer...did you learn this the hard way?

Yeah not sure about painting the pistons and the rubber pieces.... They look nice though, color is sick. Just be careful OP. For safety reasons I'd say follow the advice of the more experienced members. Good luck man!

I would not let that shop vacuum my floormats at this point....hopefully it works out, and glad you posted before it was too late.

There are lots of good shops in your area fwiw

lol....+1.... this mod could be pretty cool and is doable but paint could be done better, and def needs to get rebuild.....too much 'about to fail' in the thread

here is another sample work they did on an acura RSX thats why i was refered to this shop by this person i know from work. And from Z1 and a few others memebers i realized its not the correct way and i should have them rebuilt. Once i have them rebuilt and have them on the car i will have more info.

Isn't the "Spoon" decal on the caliper on the right upside or backwards down?
