Are they going to total my 350z???
Got hit by a Volvo on my driver's door yesterday. Windows on both sides no longer roll down, door is trashed, door jam is trashed, rear quarter panel is squashed, and the side skirt too. The cop said they may total my car because the quarter panel will be extremely expensive to fix. Is this true!??! I love my car, but I'm also afraid it may never be the same again. I'm very particular and will notice any imperfections. Anyone had quarter panel damage??

The cop said they may total my car because the damage to the quarter panel is too expensive to fix. Is this true?!?! Anyone had damage like this? I love my car, but I'm afraid it will never be the same again. I notice the smallest imperfections....
what is the year. trim level and miles on your car? the repairs could be really costly, sure.. but unless it's a bent frame, and it doesn't look like it .. (or unless you are driving an 03 with low trim and lots of miles) I don't see it being totaled out.

It's a 2003 track model with 68,000 miles on it. This car is IMMACULATE except for this new damage. Thank for the feedback so far.. hope it doesn't get totaled because this car has been great to me over the years.

I have an appointment tomorrow morning with a well known body shop to get an estimate. I'll take that estimate with me to the adjuster tomorrow and see what happens. My insurance also wants to see the damage even though the other guy's insurance will cover it. I wish my first accident didn't happen to my Z
i have a drivers side window 
if they do replace it make sure they replace the entire rear quarter ( cut out and weld a new one in) since his insurance is paying. You dont want bondo everywhere

my car was rear ended and quater panel was flexed total damage amount was 11,500 and why they didnt total it???dunno and ,this was 2 years ago too so yours doesnt look to bad

I believe the definition of "totalled" is when the cost of the repairs cost more than the value of the car. How much was your car worth two years ago?
