It honestly all depends. if one of our techs work on this car open to close with no interruptions it could take only a matter of days BUT with the busy schedule of the shop and other tunes and smaller/simpler installs that come in, it can put the car on hold for a few hours here and there. Factor in the time to drop the engine, bolt everything up, fabricate some parts, put the engine back in and finish bolting up the rest of the parts and then tuning it, you're looking at about 2 weeks or so, give or take a few days.

The car is at the body shop having its bumpers and sideskirts repainted and also waiting on the wheels. Once all that is done, the video will be out soon after.

curious as to why thats the common way for shops to operate. is it the fear of turning down work? WHy not have 1 tech work open to close on a car and get it done instead of taking 2 weeks?

Sorry I may have worded it wrong. Typically, A turbo install from start to finish including tuning time, is generally about 5-6 mechanical days.
THIS build is taking 2 weeks because there were more parts added after the project was started. So there was some waiting for the new parts to come in, so in that short wait period the tech assisted another tech with another project as well as did some bolt on installs on other customers already scheduled to help expedite the time to help give our customers a shorter wait then expected. Im sorry if I made it sound like we pull techs off cars for walk ins. We dont take walk ins. All jobs are done by appointment only so we arrange the schedule so our technicians car work on a car from start to finish with limited to no interruptions.
