okay, this is how i did it. First i went and bought a 1:18 scale 350z from walmart...10.99 it was on sale. I was looking around to see if i could find a set of rims that match my GT-C...I found a Import Racer (eclipse) that had a set of 19" rims with a black center and polished lip. so I bought it. The eclipse come with an extra set of rims so i didn't destroy the other model. It also came with extra metal rods for the tires to roll on. I open the Z up and removed the stock springs and stuff. drilled a small hole to make through the car...(make sure it is the right height before you drill) I had to do it twice...I wanted to dump the car. Then i attached the wheels on the the metal rods and that's how i got my custom rims on the car. Next the nos bottle come out of the eclipse...I just yanked it out and glued it into the trunk...just like my real car.The hood is painted back alone with the spoiler...i am adding the greddy body kit and redoing my hood...oh, i am putting the graphics from my real car on here. It should be done in a few days....

The NOS bottle in your real Z is glued in????

There's an article in the January '04 issue of Hot Rod magazine that talks about a guy that does this for a living. You send him pictures of your car and all of the mods, and he'll send you back a 1:18 scale replica down to the bracket. The price is about $400 a car dependin on the amount of work, but for those not handy with a Dremel and an air gun, this might be the way to go. Sorry, but I lent my copy to the neighbor, so I don't have the details at the moment.

Great job with your custom 1:18 though. I'm thinking of molding a Nismo kit onto one of those cheap Hot Wheels versions to sit next to my stock AutoArt Z. Anyone do that yet?
