JK about the plastidip....screw that crap. Just used some outdoor krylon satin black paint.
After several thousand miles the rear fender innards were looking rough

It has been bothering me for a while so I figured why not paint it. Went with satin black.
Gotta protect all the goodies(stoptech bbk, exotic air cups, bc coilovers, and arc exhaust
) Put that sunday paper to good use

Results:
Paint was still drying on passenger side:

Driver side:

Sorry for the pics...took them with my iphone. Let me know what you think. I love it, so much cleaner looking. The dingy wheel wells were distracting.

^- first sentence of first post.
Looks good. I would have tried soap and water first.. maybe a degreaser. I remember superblack made a crazy detailed writeup about cleaning the 350z.

^still working on them. Cleaning the heck out of the tires and need to go get rubbing alcohol.
Lol. No plastidip here man...
Cleaning the surface other than the exposed painted metal would be counterproductive. Itll either pool liquid lint or you wont even get close to the deep pockets. It i have some paint chip off i can just respray.

This seems more like a bandaid fix to me. Instead of cleaning to get all that nasty crap off, you just covered it and buried it with paint.
I think I'd rather have it dirty than seal it in under something.

I did this last year with Duplicolor bed liner spray. I high pressure washed the inner fenders, masked off what I needed to and layed on a couple thick layers. Turned out great and still holding up... Also every year I repaint the brake rotor hats satin black. It's the small things...

^yeah the stock sound deadening already looks like a spray on liner.
I took the paper off the passenger side. Love the outcome. Cannot wait to mount my wheels back on and see if it did the trick.
