Lol! I wanted something between a standard tuck and more extensive trim (like 2TH PWR's Z shown below) and this is what I got. Stock aero for life!

Earlier today I visited my good friends at their shop in Oxnard to get a crash bar fabricated for my Z:

Random shop pics:

Yes, that is an epic Torchmate CNC plasmacutter on with a 10'x5' workable area.

Mmm.. weld ****:

Waiting patiently..

Progress:

Finished! Also added tabs for my Setrab oil cooler that will be installed after I relocate my PS cooler and reorganize the lines

After my new bar was bolted up and I was fitting my bumper back on, we figured out that the corner reflectors were preventing proper install. For a second panic set in, but I unscrewed the reflectors and the bumper fit perfectly with the welded endcaps showing through spaces left behind.. Love the end result.

Will be painting the bar dark grey soon to prevent rusting.

Pretty insane cage work on those offroaders. You were't kidding about that shop. Pshhh, racecar don't need crash bar, just unnecessary weight. lol

Yeah it is; I never replaced my crash bar after my unfortunate accident and I wanted something to mount my wide oil cooler off of effectively.

Yeah they race professionally in a couple different classes/organizations and are completely insane behind the wheel. And honestly it's not as much of a crash bar as it is a solid mount for my Setrab oil cooler..

Just get it powder coated, should be around 40-50 bucks.

^^^ No need for a simple bar, if I modify and add onto it down the road I may sandblast/powdercoat though

Definitely similar, but mine mounts on all four points on each side, has tabs for my oil cooler, is a constant radius instead of two bends, and of course was free
