I highly doubt you'll only get 230 whp. You have way too many Nismo stuff to dyno that low. Plus you have a RevUp don't you? They do like 240+ stock. And are we not guessing TQ as well?
I dunno. I've learned not be over-optimistic about dyno results. I mean, a stock Rev-Up can dyno (Dynojet) anywhere between 210 and 250 depending on a hundred different variables. Being that we're in the middle of summer with the heat and humidity, those conditions alone can penalize a dyno score by 15%. Figure you've got at least 10% driveline loss off the "brochure numbers", and it's easy to knock expectations down pretty quick!

Don't forget that I'm relying on the stock ECU's mapping to compensate for the mods. I'm sure there is more in there, but it's not worth it to me to muck around with the piggyback nonsense just for an R-Tune. FI, ya, but simple intake, cams, and headers...but not worth the headache for that 10hp I might squeeze out at the wheels.

And I'm not gonna even try to guess torque numbers. :-) I'm coming out of brute-force V8s, so it's tough to put a finger on those kind of figures. But I will guess that the torque curve is nice and flat (V8-like), with maybe a second plateau after 5000rpm once that Nismo intake cam comes alive.

But to make it legit I'll guess:

230whp/220-240wtq.

I second that Smokey about if the shop not up to par then we will not dyno. I think we need to start a list of who is in so Chris does not have to search the post for names.
Please fill in your screen name Thanks

Guys, I'm gonna contact HPP Racing (or wherever we decide) again early next week and try to make things final. If you guys have objections or comments, you have to speak up before then (i.e. - certain dates you can make, certain shop preference, conditions, etc).

Hopefully, all the people signing up on this thread will be at the meet this Saturday, where we can discuss things with greater detail and get a better feel of everything. Reading on the forum isn't as accurate and it's also slower when communicating.

Also, I hope you guys aren't just signing up just to sign up. I've seen people sign up and not show up at meets or at a track, so I hope you guys keep your words. Plus it would be embarassing when I tell them 10 people and only 4 show up.

I'm gonna try my best to make this Saturday's meet. I'm getting a couple mods installed on Saturday morning and hope to be done before the meet. But, of course, you can't rush perfection so if the installs run long then I may skip this weekend.

But if we get a dyno day going (especially with a decent discount running for bringing a group) then I'll definitely be there.

Awwww, ****!! Well, the 22nd is when we're supposed to have our next meet after the one this Saturday (8th). So maybe, we should make this Dyno Day a meet as well. What do you guys think? I actually think that might be pretty cool to have a meet where we can dyno our cars and just hang out.

Like I said, hopefully most of everybody that signs up in this thread will be at the meet this Saturday. We can talk more there. I'll even bring the list of people that sign up here that day so I can identify them.

Dang, our original plan of having a meet every 2 weeks is slowly turning into every 3 weeks... I'm sure people that prefer 22nd wouldn't mind if we pushed it back to 29th. Trying to set this thing up is a lot harder than I thought it would be.. Hopefully, it turns out to be pretty fun.

sounds like another day of fun if you ask me... I would much rather have an activity planned in because, maybe it's me... but i would eventually run outta stuff to do eventually...

another thought i had though is... there are a few RV/campgrounds in grapevine and flower mound... that might be pretty interesting one of these meets to pack a campground /park/RV camping gound thing-a-ma-jig FULL of Zs a day or two... right by if not on Lake Grapevine... also there are plenty of twistie roads to cruise down around that area too...

well... we can poll and agree on whether to make an acception this time around or not... and then hold firm every two weeks regardless of upcoming activities... however, if upcoming activity sounds good to the group and a group is acceptable, then upcoming activity can be included in planned meet...

sound good?

Just an FYI, I won't be able to make it on the 29th.

Don't want you to count me in to get a price discount if that is the date.

I'm just wondering, would it be possible for you guys to PM me what day you prefer?
a) 22nd
b) 29th
c) you can make either

This way, I can keep a tally.

As of right now, it looks like we'll be going to HPP Racing. Their price is $40 for 3 wideband pulls. Ozzie (350Z owner and member on these boards) did tell me that there was no minimum really, but it'd be embarassing if only a few cars showed up. He'll think I'm retarded trying to set something up when only 3 were gonna show. So let's try to make me not look bad..

Can't go on 22nd, because a few of us performance ZOS members are going on a cruise to Tyler. The other members will be going to DFW Autofest.

I should be able to do it on the 29th, pending the times.

Thank you for those few that PM'ed me.

I guess more people are wanting it on the 29th. I will bring this subject up at the meet this week, but it looks like it'll be the 29th will have more participants. Nothing's final yet so don't worry.

I do not return from Hong Kong until the 27th so the 29th would be perfect for me. I vote B) 29
