Have you tried loosing the spare, passenger seat, tools, mats, subs, engine cover ...etc..you get the point. Maybe even run with less fuel.

Well, tonight was a great night for me. Too bad Travis couldn't make it since it started so damn late. And Brian couldn't come due to accidents on the road. Spring break started for most schools and kids are wrecking left and right. On my way there and back, I saw 8 different wrecks..

And there were some pretty fast cars there, more than usual, since NOPI was the following 2 days. There were people last minute test/tuning their cars for the drag competition. The best (sexiest) car I saw was a Supra that ran 9s at 158+ mph.

ANYWAY, as many of you probably know, I recently got a stage 1 clutch kit. Since this new clutch has a much higher clamping force compared to stock clutch, it took some time getting used to. Basically, I had to relearn how to launch. So, for the first 3.5 hrs, I was pulling 2.2's and 2.3's, which is horrible to say the least.

Then, I finally learned the trick to launching on the new clutch. Needless to say, I beat my previous record of 13.665 @ 103.09 wth a 2.036. Not once, but 4 times! And these were back to back hotlap runs!

So here are my last 4 runs of the night, all of which beat my previous record (see attached link).

Thanks guys. I was so bummed that neither Travis nor Brian could make it, but my last 4 runs made me forget about everything. The cool thing was, those were in order. I was consistently getting faster times (referring to the last 4).

And no, I don't think the clutch helped. I didn't slip or anything with my stock clutch, which is still useable. All this clutch helped me was hone my driving skills further.


So.... who's coming on the 23rd? Kyle said he'd come with his M and he's spraying (100 shot). We'll see how badly he beats me.
