Anyone interested in going up to College Station - Texas World Speedway has an open track weekend (Motorsport club).

http://www.texasworldspeedway.com/msc.htm

TWS MOTORSPORTS CLUB June 30-July 1. Bring your daily driver or rent one of the TWS Miatas for two days of instruction and driving on our high speed road course. 979/690-2500 All participants treated to barbeque dinner w/all trimmings.

It is a 2-day event, but I am just going up for the one day on Sunday. $150 for one day, $250 for both. $20 for garage.

heck yeah it's fun! I'll probably be there, I won't know until the last minute if I can go or not. I'll be in the black 350z in yellow or red run group.

damn, another track day I'm gonna miss. Car is down at the moment. Going Fully built TT. Too bad they don't allow bikes on car track days...otherwise I'd bring the gixxer.

there are 4 run groups, from beginner to advanced, plus instructors:

green
blue
yellow
red
white (instructor)

the red and white colors may have changed, but in any case, the run groups are just a way to group people by experience, and to a lesser degree, their driving speed.
