Drag Meet Time!!!!!!! - Feb 7th, 2009
The pipe will be much easier to control your leverage/strength and effectively smooth things out better than a blunt force. Good luck with this.
I'm not new to the track, just new in this car. I have only had the car for about 3 months so I am still trying to get used to it.
My last car was FWD so this time out it will be a little bit different.
I probably won't have my new tires by then so I guess we will see what the bald stock tires will do.

FWD is way different than RWD. I use to race my turbo si before I got my z and I thought I knew what I was doing but quickly found out that I needed to learn a totally different way to launch and have car control.
I am really looking forward to getting back out there. I kind of hope the z does not sell by then so I can try to beat my old times. But I would also love to see what a new car could do.

I have finally started to get use to my car. The only problem I have is the stock bald tires. I can launch around 1500 rpm's and keep the tires from spinning but as soon as I give it gas they just break loose. I am hoping the track will let the tires stick, or maybe I can get my new tires before then.
Yeah, I drove my friend's JDM H22 Prelude down the track a long while ago and it was definitely different. I beat his time, though.
I'd say that the RWD is a bit easier to prevent excessive wheelspin, but that also depends on the power level.
The track sprays VHT so it'd be stickier (not to mention less debris) there than on the street. If you launch on the streets, they're also worse for your tires as the surface is much rougher than it is on the track.

i am going to be slower.... assuming i can't find my boost leak... although i do have new tires and i am going to try a couple of new techniques so... yeah we will see how it goes
It is punishable by death.. at the very least, it will be castration.
Yeah, there are always ways around it. My leniency only goes so far, though.
None of that maybe BS, please.
