I'd like to go and spectate, but I'm not sure if I'll make it out there. I went last year though....have lots of pictures.

any restrictions on the amount of tire 32nds that are needed... mine are probably pretty low... just need to see if i'm within limits... no belts are showing...

If I am there with it, yes I would. Otherwise I'd just drive the FX for storage area.

 

Minimal tread depth is fine. Heck - we pay extra to get our brand new tires shaved to 2 or 3 / 32nds. You just can't have any cords showing.

 

What exactly is shaving and what are its benefits?

For the tire comment... here's my guess...

shaving the tires down reduces the amount of "roll" they have... with the 10/32nds that normally come on our tires, that leaves an excess of rubber to shift around during cornering... less rubber (or tread) means a more "positive" feel.

Am i correct???
