The event will be at MINERAL WELLS, TX Airport pad. SO there are NO TREES, NO POLES! great for the first timer!

As a BMWCCA Member, I'll definitely be there.

There is nothing like a BMW Autocross at Mineral Wells. We have had some long, high speed events. As in 4th gear, flat out, downhill, slightly left, all wheel drifting action......followed by a nice, tight, 2nd gear hairpin.

You'll indeed have 8 runs to get it right....or wrong. My points are at stake, so if you feel inclined to get it wrong, be my guest.

Cost for non-members is $35, and you'll register through DLB Racing approximately one week before the event. You MUST register online, as there is no on site registration.

Registration and tech inspection generally begin at 8am, with a driver's meeting at 9am. DO NOT MISS the driver's meeting, or you will not be running. If you're there on time, you'll have plenty of time to get a course map, and walk it 1-2 times before the start.

Here's what a Mineral Wells, BMW Autocross looks like from the on-board camera, mounted in a 2006 JCW Mini. I was co-driving this car a couple years ago, when my Z was stuck in the shop. I was in 1st place for my group.

At the 1:11 mark, the speed was around 80mph, followed by a 2nd gear, 90 degree right turn. In-car video is deceiving when it comes to judging speed, in a wide open space.

The meet is at 7pm and autoX is early morning, will end about 3 or 4pm...
