That sucks for such last minute notice....I hope your job is secure.

You gonna pull some strings so the others or yourself can drive ?

I would really like to break the 65-entry limit, as this is an expensive venue to rent and we need the money, but it is an issue of time. Our contract with the site stipulates that we will be done by 5 PM. Historically, with 65 entrants, we finish at 4-4:30 PM. An extra five entrants is an additional thirty minutes. If we encountered any kind of issues, then we would be in jeopardy of stopping the event before everyone was finished.

One option to increase the number of entries is to decrease the number of runs, but having eight runs is one of the primary reasons drivers select our events over clubs like the SCCA, which is forced to have less runs because of the number of entrants (often over 100). Another option would be the elimination of the lunch break, but no one likes to go all day without food and I have already sold the event based upon a lunch break.

I hate turning down money and I hate turning people down even more, but I have to do it in this case.

jrj512,
I think we all understand your reasons for the limit.....As Clint Eastwood says, " A man has to know his limitatons "

You guys run a great event...that is why we choose your events. It's just too bad some of these guys didn't get around to registering in time. I know I can't really commit to some of the dates until last minute. So I just hope I catch it in time before you close the registering.

See ya out there Sat ?

Absolutely. I will be driving Mark's red Corvette Z06. I will be going from a 100 HP Miata to a 400 HP beast. I predict a lot of spins.

I don't see Damon's name on the registered list. Like I said I've no strings to pull.

I'll bring the G and If I get to drive so be it but I'm not expecting anything.

I do have a generator but I don't think there's any use for it. ALTHOUGH *wink* *wink* if the NTAXS generator were to fail I'd be happy to grant a favor and allow them to borrow mine *wink* *wink*!

I'm going to drive my truck and just spectate. I'll bring my pup with me for entertainments, some speakers that I'll sell for 20$, a fan, and a generator even though the weather will be nice.

So if anyone needs a truck for anything tomorrow let me know.

I'll bring a couple of chairs and peanut butter cookies for sure. Is there going to be an ice chest? I can bring some assorted cheese slices and even some ham/turkey as well if there's a way to keep it cold.
