Early, low event pricing ends on August 8th. New, higher pricing begins on August 9th. On August 10th, if there are not at least 30 people registered, this event will move to Mineral Wells, and TMS will be taken off the calendar.

Would we lose TMS for good? It seems that a large number of people wait until the last few days to register for several events.

They don't wait until the last few days, they wait until the last few minutes. That too, needs to change.

I'll put it this way; If people think they can wait until the last possible second to register for this event, then they are not going to be happy in the future.

As esteemed members of the BMWCCA should we not be allowed to sign up last minute?

Be my esteemed guest.

You'll also take FTD, because you'll be the only one driving at TMS.

To put this into perspective, and for those of you that are dead set on registering last minute.

The base rate to rent TMS is 9X the amount it costs to rent Mineral Wells.

We cannot justify this cost, if we are not going to have the turnout that we get when hosting events 90 minutes from town. We are also required to pay TMS a week before the event takes place, therefore the need to fill spots as quickly as possible in order to pay for the event.

You'll probably have to move the registration deadline up a week to light a fire under some asses. Have the registration cutoff the night before payment is due to TMS and you'll know if there's enough to cover.

Obviously this wouldn't fix the problem right away, but I would expect it to help some.

It's already been discussed, and this will be the last event before we implement early registration cutoff dates.

We are definitely racing at TMS on the 18th.

This is the last day to receive the reduced pre-registration rate! The normal TMS rate of $45 takes effect after tonight, so don't wait to register!

Dammit that would suck. I'd almost rather drive the FX in the rain since I'm used to it. Although on that surface it might be a toss up.

I bet it will probably just be really wet when we start....and we will be the first group running so we will dry the course for the others...like last time.

But I think the afternoon will be dry....I hope.
