BMW CCA - Lone Star Chapter HPDE
Put your cars to work and feel what it is really like to drive at this HPDE event. I went last year around this time and had an absolute blast! it was so much fun that I had to do it again this year. I'm already signed up so I'll be there but I'd like to see some of you out there too!
The price is $295 for two days of high performance driving. This includes class instruction and a knowledgeable coach in your passenger seat teaching you how to drive the track.
While this price may seem steep, you should realize that doing auto-x you only get about 10 minutes total of driving time for around $40 bucks. You also have to sit in a parking lot and for 3 hours or so working the corner. Last year I got a good 90 minutes of drive time in one day! do the math and you will see that its well worth it.
Let me know if you have any questions, I've been talking to the guy who is putting this on. I can forward it to him and get you a response.

Rob,
BMW is not the cheapest for their events...however I will say that they are by far the best organized and scheduled group by far in the DFW area.
Plus it is a 2 day event ! Well worth it for the seat time.

nah no judgment here, just wondering since you mentioned price could be better. This is pretty consistent with most HPDE and IMO well worth the price. Yes price could be better but so could any price on anything.. so I'm just not sure where you were going with that.

I wasn't trying to go anywhere with anything. The ones I've been to have been cheaper and/or gave more seat time, all with free instructors, which is why I brought it up. The last one I went to (May '12) cost $160/$260 for 140/280 minutes.
Don't mind me, I'm just griping because I can't afford it.
