That's awesome Scott. I had this idea earlier, but didn't know how to get it done.

It looks like you were a good bit faster through turns 1 & 2, but I picked up time at about turn 3. Hard to tell though cause the video was pretty choppy for me.

its just a screen shot of the youtube vids playing. I dont think I can get any better resolution.

I can tell I wasn't trailbraking as much as I normally do. you made up a lot of time in all the brake zones. A big gain from you in that hard right brake zone in the 2nd half of the track.

I'm not sure if this is any better than what Scott posted, but I found a site to achieve what we're doing.

Scott, what program are you using to screen capture into a video? It sounds like it's also recording from your mic.

Forgot how to do L/R split screens so I had a quick refresher with the above youtube videos Eric/Scott posted:

howyoudothat

That's such a badass compilation. Much better than what Scott and I attempted.

I think we should all decide on one spot to mount our GoPros so that we can run comparison videos like this. I know some of you are dead set on favorite video angles and may not want to, but I think it would be cool as heck. It's just coincidence that Scott and I had similar mounting points this time.

I'm sure there's a much simpler way to do it than how I did it (like add-ins or features) but all I did was move the videos L/R, cover certain parts off, then just time the videos. I know very little otherwise.

I always film from the quarter panel window or from the inside between the seats. Then I usually have another angle, usually on the passenger side.

Ha ha, too funny 3hree5ive0ero, you beat me too it! I just did the same thing. I'm using Adobe Premier and After Affects. If you guys would like to see any different configuration for comparison or a compilation, I'm up for doing some editing. I need the practice.

I think 3ree5ive0ero and I timed it the same, syncing when you two broke the start light.

I would like to build a few more of these and try some different stuff. Send me links to other videos you would like to see side by side.

That goes for anyone, old events, whatever!

^ Lol, not necessarily a bad thing, right?

Here's my channel:
http://www.youtube.com/user/3hree5ive0ero/

There's a video or two from almost every single event that I attended since getting the GoPro.

I know and I saw that, my buddy is getting hitched in Austin so I'll be gone for that weekend as well. But hey! At least I'll be helping Austin keep weird

Have you ever checked out Drivers Edge? It's a driving school that lets you take your car on a track. I'll be going to the one in Houston Oct. 26-27th

www.thedriversedge.net

Their classes fill up quicly.

We just go to eagles canyon for track days lol. A few of us have done some other tracks as well like msr and the college station track. We only go once or twice a year though. Would be cool to check out though.

Eagles Canyon looks fun, are their track days Sat-Sun? Because for the price @ $150.00 it's not too bad. Drivers edge is $315 for the weekend.

I've just recently discovered the art of Road racing and seeing this autocross, $45 bucks to drive your car fast is very affordable in my eyes lol

Porsche club of america does an event at eagles canyon each December for charity. $50, a new unwrapped toy and non perishable food gets you in all day. It's a Christmas charity for the needy families in that area.
