I bought it used last October. I've only done 4 autocross events, all with the SCCA. I did a few in my last car with the equipe rapide group a few years ago. I'm planning to do more when the weather cools down. And looking to do a drivers edge event before the end of the year.

^ Nice. There's still lots of events left this year so plenty of opportunities for more autox.

Oh, and welcome.

Sorry to hear you're still having issues with that. You could always just race with it since I think you were threshold braking anyway, no?

He hasn't mentioned it yet and hope he doesn't mind me saying so, but 3hree5ive0ero registered and will be driving my car. I am glad he said yes because this will be a great learning opportunity for me.

So get your butt registered fifthamoto! It's AutoX, not ECR, you'll be fine without your ABS, right?

I thought I did it here, but I guess it was the DFW Lounge. Yes, David has generously offered to let me co-drive his car so I will be there this sunday!

Without the ABS pump working, your brakes are like old school brakes and if I brake firm and fast...the fronts just lock up and skid.

The ABS is somehow enabling the brakes to be applied very firmly and without skidding or locking up...hard to explain...but I would brake right thru a turn if I raced with it the way it is now.

You guys have fun....I will be out there soon enough to kick your butts !

Interesting, I assumed it would only be an issue when ABS was called upon, which probably happens more than i realized.

I believe all his lights are on (ABS, Slip, TCS/VDC). Something is seriously wrong.

This was my first event with real slaloms and I really struggled through the very technical first half of the course.

The second half was encouraging as I equalled Chris's best split time.

To be fair, Chris had more speed coming into the corner where the split timer was setup.

The biggest thing I noticed in David's vid was braking. A little more braking into a couple corners would help. That was my biggest problem for a long time.
