falls church highschool auto show
hey i am a student at falls church highschool. the automotive program at falls church is trying to hold a event where all cars are welcome. we cannot host this show unless we have confirmed enough registered people to show there rides. registration fee for show is not expensive like many other car shows. registration fee will be around 20 to 10 bucks on each car. if interested please let me know a drifterx88@yahoo.com. please get the word out to all the local car clubs we need money for our shop. there will be a best in show prize worth $200 if we can get enough cars to show.

That's a great idea and a decent cause. I'm sure you can get some folks from the mid-A to show up.
Why don't you post up some more details that people will need like when, where, how to register, exact pricing, how to pay, etc. Organizing events like this takes alot of work. If it sounds like you're really serious about organizing this (and I mean don't do it half-@$$ed), I'll sticky this at the top of the forum to ensure that people see it. Good luck.
Oh, and schedule permitting, I'll come. Here's a pic of my car.

So when are we going to organize a big car show?
We need to do something rather large. Charity wise, sponsored by my350z.com of course .. I think good events such as this tend to take away from the stereotype that everyone with a CF hood is a wild teenage street racing kid ..lol
I think I'll volunteer myself, Kelly, Chris , and Ben to put it together..ColdFuzn you can jump in on this too.
I have been looking around at possible areas in the past few days just trying to get an idea. Also spoke to some city council peeps from Alexandria, and they basically said if its for a good cause they are all for giving all the support they can. I mean they shut down half of this city for a freakin 5K run.. I'm sure they would let us do a car show somewhere here.
I think ill spend most of today getting support from local area businesses.

i spoke to the principal today and she approved the show. we are trying to hold it on saturday May 14. entrance fee to show your car will be $10 dollars. if you are interested in coming send me an email. please try to get the word out we want to get enough people to show so we can give a best in show prize of $200.

aw dont think i'll be able to make it
my exams probably end around may 10th but i'm sticking around for a week to install a pc in my car and gps etc etc
guess we'll see............
and may 14th is my bday too! so how about you just give me 200 dollars?

Just to give you a heads up you CAN NOT change the dates once you set them especially with the guys in here . Alot of us work very tight schedules and if you really want FULL attendance and participaction from this group; try not to move the date around too much. I know I am going to show up like I said, pass up showing off to a bunch of Abercrombie wearing high school girls ... count me in , and I think my jail partner will join ( going to jail
