OFFICIAL: NOPI XBOX challenge at MIR 4/9-4/10
Ok guys, who's going to this? This is usually a great event. It's two days. I'm down for both days.

Let's try to get together a cook out/picnic as well. Whose got what? Tent, portable grille, chairs...
Please indicate race or car show. BTW, there are cash prizes at these. I won $200 at last years for 2nd place in bracket racing.

Guys just so you know it's bracket racing which means you don't have to have a fast car to win. It's driver skill and knowledge of what your car will/can do. We'll have to have a meeting place determined soon this week. Gates open for race cars at 8:00AM. I will be swapping tires this time, so I will need to be there early. If anyone has some sticky stockers they want to rent me for say....a track burger...I'd gladly sport them down the track.

Well looking at the weather ( and taking into consideration they are always a day off, the weekend is going to be INCREDIBLE!).
Craig I have those stock 18's. I dont know if youd rather have 17's. They are at Chris's shop so we would have to run down and get them Friday night or something.
On to the meeting spot. If race entry is at 8:00 AM, I am down for meeting early Saturday morning
A few things I think we need to figure out.
One. If we are going to be hanging out there all day we are going to need some lawn chairs, tents, grill, those sort of things ( also someone call and see if we can actually bring these things).
Who can drive down an SUV or something with all of our gear in it? Craig ? QX4
Two. Is anyone going to have detailing equipment? Cold Fuzn We could use some Meguiars ...
Three: If anyone is up for getting together Friday night and doing some serious waxing work on their car I am soooo past due a nice wax job. Let me know!!
This should be a great weekend for the guys around here. If we are going to get a better turnout for a Sunday then lets shoot for that as the main event day. THe rest of us who have nothing going on all weekend will just make a full weekend out of it!!!

I would offer up my truck if someone drives it down there. My buddy might be bringing his FX45 down and we could load it up instead. He actually may run it at the track. I have two chairs, and two large coolers. We really need a tent for a home base. You will see a lot of them out there I'm sure. If you single guys haven't been to one of these before, there are actually girls at these events. Jello wrestling usually in the evening, and booty shaking all day. Bikini contests all day too. I would propose to meet at 7:30AM Saturday morning maybe some where off of I-495. Valdez, help us with a place out there.

What day are we shooting for as the official day? I think the first day is going to be the best..
So I am going to say we make Saturday the official day.
Meeting time and place:
Off of 495 take the Eisenhower Ave exit. Make a right onto Eisenhower Ave. About .2 miles on your left you will come to a large parking lot that is alloted for a water park / putt putt. We should meet here between 7-8AM on Saturday. It is a large parking facility and free of any construction like most places in Alexandria.
I am going to try and find someone with a tent I can borrow. Also Craig check to see what the rules are for bringing stuff ( i.e. grills, beer ( just kidding), chairs, coolers, etc.
For you single guys ( which i dont think many of you are ) I am going to be on the prowl and could use a quality wing man...
Get the word out to everyone , like I said Saturday Im sure is going to be a lot more fun!! So if you can make it PLEASE do..

It's usually first day for qualifying for all events. Car show, racing, bikini comp, burn-out. Second day is finals. Second day is better if you're a spectator, but for those competing both days will be essential. The price for admission includes weekend pass.
I'll check on what we can bring.
If anyone is using NOS, I have a full bottle at home I'd like to empty.

I'm going Saturday, whether anyone goes or not. I'll hang out with the Maxima guys I guess.
Saturday is more of the laid back, hang out day, with evening events (Club NOPI, j-ello wrestling, and neon comp). Sunday is shorter and finals only.

NOPI Scorched Earth Burnout Competition
We started it. Others duplicated it. The Burnout competition draws big crowds as contestants push thier cars, trucks and even bikes to the limit. The more smoke, the better. Even blown tires could guarantee a victory.
It must truly be seen to be appreciated.
Rules:
Duration: Each contestant will be given 60 seconds to attempt to burnout. Time, weather and track permitting a separate competition will be each day. (i.e. Saturday and Sunday)
Judging:
When each competitor is finished with their burnout, they will proceed to a pre--designated area in front of the crowd and remain there until the competition portion of this event is concluded. Then, the crowd participation in the order of the competition will determine the finalists. Crowd participation and NOPI staff will determine the winner.
Prizes:
$250 and complete set of Dunlop tires to both the Saturday and Sunday Winners. Dunlop Tires will only be awarded to Saturday and Sunday winners at NDRA events.
