My Fellow Mid Atl / Capital Club Z/G's,

Listed below is the agenda for the day on Sunday for those that are going to participate. I took into consideration all ideas and time conflicts that individuals had, and hope this can maximize participation in the event. The weather is looking to be incredible for Sunday, so this should be a very successful event.
What I need from everyone now is an individual(s) to step up and volunteer to help out with food items, transportation of coolers, and eating utensils. If anyone has an “in” to any of these products i.e. family in the restaurant business, owns a slaughterhouse, you know, etc. please utilize your resources, think of it as trying to find a DEAL on a good mod.
We are going to need some of the following items, but it is a BBQ and I’m sure you all know what they consist of:

1) Meat (various sorts)
2) Beverages ( non-alcoholic)
3) Ice Cooler ( hopefully someone is going to bring an SUV, possibly anFX)
4) Charcoal Briquettes, lighter fluid
5) Condiments
6) Hamburger Buns, Hot Dog Buns
7) Baked Beans, Coleslaw, other sides
8) Garbage bags
9) Eating utensils, Plates, forks, and cups
10) Lawn toys ( football, Frisbee)
11) Camera ( still and video)

Let me know if I have forgotten anything, also keep in mind this is a great time to swap parts, sell parts, and see some mods in person that pics and videos just don’t do justice!!

I will begin listing what individuals are bringing so that we know what to expect and whom to blame for lack their of :P in a following post once I receive what people are bringing.

12:00 Meet up for individuals that well, have nothing better to do and want to go for a quick jaunt before the BBQ ( just remember people you will be carrying food in your cars so drive as to avoid having your interior covered with baked bean vinyl). (We will be meeting at the Target at Springfield Mall)

1:00-2:00 Begin BBQ prep at location site.

3:00 Have food grilling away, Frisbee, football, car talk, you know the usual

4:00 Chow time!! Lets Grub!

5:00-5:30 Clean up time

5:30-7:00 Nice cruise around the NOVA area, pictures, video, the fun stuff!!

good choice on location i'll take responsibility for the hot dogs and buns, i've been having a crucial craving ever since the last "bbq" at gw. do u think we should meet earlier at target for the people who actually wake up early?

 

Well to be quite honest the spots at Burke Lake are first come first serve .. so I will be heading out to the lake around 9-10. If anyone else is going to be up at that time then I would more than welcome the company! Give me a call on my cell and Chris I'm sure we'll be out getting tanked somewhere Saturday night and I will prob just have to kick you off my couch to get you to show up early

Also is you aret going to contribute at least let us know you are coming so that we dont show up with 5 hamburgers and 30 people .. that could get ugly.

Yo this sucks so hard!!! I really want to meet up with you guys but I just bought a house so I'll be spending the weekend painting, sanding, scrubbing, and cleaning rather than hanging, grilling, eating, and bs-ing. Have fun guys and hopefully I'll see you all for a meet soon.

Do you want it marinated overnight? Or just have it all bland to slap some sauce on at the bbq? The chicken I mean.

 

Do whatever you feel is right ...Ill eat the heck out of some chicken .. as like as its cooked enough to kill the bacteria in it

 

well if i come...i still dont know yet.. but if i do come ill bring a bunch of stuff from footballs to a bunch of hamburger meat....but ill see what i can do...if im coming, im coming today...ill let u all know though...

Me and a few of the hardcore guys with nothing really to do are meeting up early... just to goof off and make sure we secure a spot
