Memorial Day Drive....
yes sir, i would like to setup a drive in honor of all the veterans and memorials and symbols of our Nations Capital. No other way but to have the Z/G crowd represent and bring out there spirit for the United States...

i want to know how many people would be interested...this is going to be a fast spirited drive neccesarily...its going to be held on May 30th of course...Monday for you guys who dont wanna look at the calendars...but i would like to setup a drive from a park such as burke lake park or even a parking lot such as tysons corner or anywhere...

plan is to meet up..."decorate" our cars....such as american flags etc etc...whatever youd like to represent your respect for the US...after decoration, we start our slow moving caravan to the nations capital heading up 395 at a slow pace with hazards on to let people know we are in a group caravan and not to cut anyone off or such...but we will head into the heart of DC/Arlington Memorial Cemetery and etc....and then of course park near these monuments and pay our respects.

If anyone is interested...post up here...id like to get a running list and ill start preparing things in a more orderly fashion...this is basically a run down of what i wanna do though...if interested post please...

wow, finally a meet it looks like i'm going to make...

a really good friend of mine was killed in najaf/kufa last may 30th, he's in Section 60, Site 8006, so i'll be there to pay my respects.

 

You know, if we could get a few DB and PPW Z's, we could roll red, white and blue, bordered by silver and gold....That would be schweet!

kelly - great idea! lets see how many red, white, and blues we get...but if we can get eneough im sure we can get a nice shot making the american flag or something along those lines...

i will be sure to check up on locations where we can park and etc...i know a few people who work at the pentagon so i will see if we can get some type of parking there....but the more the better for this type of event...just show some respect guys, i just want to remind you because i dont plan on going over 55 mph on 395....i plan on having an american flag draped across my car....dont want it flying off and hitting the ground...so i just wanna give you all some hints and tips to prepare for the meet... plans are settling in more and more as the days go by...

I dont think the pentagon would be a great idea .. a nice place to park . There will be no one there though .. we are going to roll by it though. Just stay on the 395 all the way into DC and around the city for a while. Maybe by a few memorials.. and what not ... roll through Gtown ..

Im game one problem in va its illegal to drive with your hazards on. Well they will pull you over happened to a friend. They think its like a sign of distress or something.

 

A friend? It happened to a very large group of us ..remeber guys ..
Im sure though under these circumstances just going 40 and decorating our cars for memorial day will get the point across ..

sounds like this drive is going to be rather promising...ill try and setup a route for us to go through so we all dont get left behind or anything...hopefully stick to some of the well maintained roads for you guys with rims and lowered Z's and G's....but for now stay tuned more information is to come...

good point! i didn't even think about that... i'll be in my greens then (going to suck *** driving around in that monkey suit, but it's the proper attire for Arlington).
