Who does most everyone use in Hampton Roads for performance and/or audio mods to their Z? Any recommendations? There are a lot of shops out there, but I don't know of any Z specialists.
Tidewater Z & Custom Car Care are the only 2 that I know of other than the dealer...I don't like Hall Nissan Service department at all...Pomocco seemed to be pretty good. Stereo...I couldn't tell you

Lane Myers told me the same thing about Tidewater Z, I thought it was just a club not also a shop. I have been looking for their website but it doesn't look like they have one. I have to go to Newport News tomorrow, so maybe I can go check it out.
The Tidewater Z Club is run by a lot of the folks who frequent the shop
-- the club website is www.tzccva.org (the shop doesn't have a website -- the best thing to do is to head up to the shop and shoot the **** with the folks for a couple hours, not to mention all the other folks who stop by during the day).

i couldnt remember if tidewater z was right or not... seeing how i've never been there and all... i was afraid i had given some poor info for a while there...

whatever you do, stay away from Autoworks (greenbrier area). i dont feel like going into details, but let's just say it wouldnt be pretty if i ran into the owner/manager of that place on the street. i would never step foot in that place again, and discourage any and all business from them. i think discount auto sound may be pretty decent, go-ho too, but i've heard some shady stories about both in the past. what all are you trying to get done?

I'm not getting this all done right away. I have bills to pay! My laundry list includes:
-Decent Grounding Kit
-JWT Pop Charger
-Motordyne Plenum 1/4" Spacer
-Unorthodox Racing Pulleys
-High Flow Cats
-Borla True Dual Exhaust
-Nismo Bronze wheels
-Borla Brakes
I have been looking at the ATI Procharger and the HKS Rotrex Kit too. But I think that will be last. I still want the car to be driveable by my wife, continue to be reliable and go to work in.
I like the way the car looks on the outside and I prefer a stealthy, stock looking car. The only thing I'm really considering doing is adding the NISMO side skirts.
As far as audio is concerned, I would like to get some cleaner sounding speakers and replace the HU with a Sirius compatible one also to reclaim some small storage space by using a Metra kit. I'm not a huge audiophile, so the amount of power is decent for me right now.

Glad this thread came around -- i'm looking for an audio shop myself... i get this nascent buzz whenever the stereo is on and it's a pain in the butt! (JL 300x4, 500x1, 10w7, clarion hu, four.1, mbquart component pair & coax pair)
Discount Autosound does good work. I have gone there acouple of times and have had no problem. They are also cheap when they have those sales on the weekends where they sell the stuff for almost what the payed. Also, check out Premier Autosound, they are alittle pricey, but they can do anything you want and have been around for many years now.
