Well its mid week and I have a BAD feeling I am not making this drive

 

 

Your still waiting on Paint...?
Man the guys at V told me that it would only take a couple of days to do my bodykit... If it takes that long I might not be able to get this stuff on by Nov12th like I need...

 

I think we should be out of Richmond at 8am.

 

Steve sub's this work out to a paint shop, so he's somewhat at their mercy. If you want to be able to interface with the actual paint shop and your time table is sensitive (which it obviously is), I'd follow up with Century unless they give you a reason not too.

 

Toby, if you don't have your car, are you going to catch a ride with someone?

 

No car No show. I got faith though because there is just NO WAY in He$$ its not going to be ready.

haha so is this going to be one of those drives where we have to stop not only to take pictures, but to let the brakes cool down (who said stretch there legs hahaha) if im able to make it...ill be there...id love to test out the new suspension fully.... oh btw....if you do somehow get stuck behind me....make sure you have ear plugs....

TOBY: wtf is going on man....we need to get this place straightened out...im about to kick some *** if the car doesn't get out of the shop....

I don't think this will be one of "those" drives. Things may be a little spirited on the way out there, but I think we'd be foolish to get crazy in the park. As reported by Davidv, the rangers have federal authority, and I don't want to find out how far that authority extends. I don't look good getting a cavity search.

 

lol...were on our own once we get there? wait officer im not with those 20 other cars....its just by accident we all were driving down this road at the same time...imagine that...oh that couldn't have been my exhaust! there's 20 others cars with the same motor and exhaust tone....pshhh...well see hopefully i can make it, if not i guess i gotta test out my suspension at a later date...

Did someone mention my name? LOL. Skyline Drive is a mellow cruise. There are other cars on the road and bicyclists. The “fun” roads are those leading "out" of the park.

 

Ben let me get my car back first and I will fill you in.

 

my tires aren't going to hold up to too much spirited driving, so I guess I'll bring up the rear... haha.

Last time I was out with just david I got a little spirited at points... it is scary though b/c you'll never know when you are coming up on a 25 mph driver or bike...

we do NOT need a 10 Z pile-up

 

Especially with the weather looking possibly a bit wet.... Last thing I want to do is go careening off the side of the mountain....

 

+1000 guys.. also note that this is the PRIME TIME season to go to skyline drive... so .. the local podunk police WILL be trapping on the routes heading in... we all need to watch our speeds.. and maintain proper following distance once we get on the 2 lane roads leading to the park. I would HIGHLY advise NOT speeding once we are in the park... unless you want to be a Rangers bish

How many people are really attending with the rain forecast for Front Royal between 60 and 80% for Saturday?!

I'll be honest. I am not driving 3 hours South to drive in the rain on skyline and not be able to hang out at the stops along the way... If its raining Saturday, you'll have to count me out. The car is getting squirrelly in the wet now with tires nearing wearbars so driving windy skyline = a nono.

I learned my lesson last November when i was driving on tires near the wearbars... spun out into a guardrail. No fun... AND it was at a Z meet.

 

Hey everyone, this is my first time on this site, and I was referred to this one by Silkk who was replying to a post on 350Zforum.com. My wife and I are interested in the Skyline Drive run on Saturday. It looks like some people are dropping cause of weather, etc. Is the run still on, and is 11:00 am still the meeting time in Manassas?
