OK, Guys…

I am going to organize this first photo shoot for a calendar right after the Evolution Meet on the 27th of August around 3:30 – 6:30pm. The plan is for pictures of the cars singly and in groups for our 350Z / G35 regional calendar. There are discussions to produce this for resale with proceeds going to a charity of the group’s choosing. The intent is to find some locations which provide enough space and a pleasant background to allow for printable quality pictures. I am also attempting to arrange some ladies who want to pose for a ‘B-Side’ version of our calendar for the groups fundraising but at this time I am still working on scheduling issues.

1. What we need is a good quality camera, lots of memory and a tripod for the pictures. KcoBean has that covered.
2. We need to find at least 1 place somewhat local to Evolution that has a decent backdrop. It does not have to be perfect, just clean with some good lines and color. I will be driving around the area for the next few days looking for spots. All ideas are greatly appreciated from the group.
3. We will begin leaving the Evolution meet around 3:30 so we can get to where we have to go, start setting up and give the cars a last once over as necessary before any shooting begins.
4. We should figure for a couple of hours to do single and group shots along with a number of backgrounds if possible. So expect to run from say 3:30 pm – 6:30 pm?
5. Afterwards if people are interested we can grab something to eat at a local restaurant.

Since the goal of the calendar is to show off the cars of the Capital 350Z / G35 Club, we really want to limit the photo shoot to folks that have intention of joining the club. Realizing that the first opportunity to join the club will be at the Evolution meet (unless you download the registration form from the club website), anyone is welcome to participate, but we will limit inclusions in the calendar to photos containing only club members. That will give you time to get your registration in after the shoot. Also, extra photos taken that are not selected for the calendar will be made available only to people who join the club.


To start we need a list of those who would want to participate in this so we can start coordinating people, locations, times etc now.

on a side note. I will be picking my car up friday from vertex and I am guessing it will be afternoon time. I dont see myself driving back to richmond then right back sat mornning but I am not sure about this yet. So if this happens I will have my H2 with me so we could use that to stand on for a better over head group shot if needed.

Also any place to wash my car friday or sat mornning?

Thanks for organizing this one Brent!!! It's good to see other people helping out Kelly with the start of this club. I've added myself to the list.

Also, another future photo op for the calendar will be during the Skyline Drive in October. Just a heads up.

Lastly, we've got 3 votes so far for donating the proceeds from this calendar to fight breast cancer.

Stock or modded makes no difference. This is for the group and we have all types of cars/members.

I do not know if I will be here in October, but if so, you can count me in for the Skyline Drive & Photo Shoot.

I will throw my vote in for donating the proceeds to Cancer.

I distinctly remember there being something about expressing interest in your CAR appearing in the calendar you bunch of sickos!!!!

(And no Mike, no matter what you say, I won't believe that yours is big enough to pass as your car).....
