Question NVA Curb Rash Repair Shop?

So I was stupid the other day, I wasn’t paying close enough attention when parallel parking, and... Crunch... scratched up a rim on the curb pretty good. So now I am looking around for a reputable shop in the Northern VA area to repair it. It is only cosmetic, just scratches, the rim isn’t bent or anything.

Does anyone have any recommendations? Thanks much!

Ye Ole Wheel Shop in MD has done some awesome work for my family in the past. They've repaired and repainted some Racing Harts for us, and we were very pleased. They are a little pricey, but worth it. You can tell by their clientel.

+1.....YOWS comes highly recommended. I've never heard anyone say anything but praise about their work.

+4 on YOWS. My friend good friend Dan is the owners son, they do great work, and can get you anything on tirerack.com....judging by how busy they are now, 3-4 weeks would be the wait for your wheels to be done. I know its long but worth the wait.

As in a bent rim? Or a cracked rim? Yes they do. If it would be cheaper to fix it then buy a new one they will, if not they will just tell you to get a new rim.

I just took my wheels there last Saturday. I was in an accident (lost control hit a curb) and cracked the barrell of my rear 10'' rim and bent it in 2 places along w/ real bad rash all along the lip. Front lip was also really badly rashed and had a nice bend in it as well. They are charging me about $450 for both wheels, and from all the great things I have heard, should look just about like new. The main reason the cost is so high is because of the cracked barrell has to be heated/welded back together, then the lips will be ground down polished/painted etc etc. The turn around they gave me was about 3 weeks. Not bad considering 1 rim wouldve cost me ~$500, so I got my insurance money and kept the remaining $700 and so I'm a happy camper...

Sweet Jesus man...did you see how OLD this thread is???? LOL

Check out these guys: http://www.mobilewheelrepair.com . The local franchise is DBScales, LLC: 703.795.5390.

I've talked to a few folks that have used them, and they were impressed.
