Working on rounding up some other Mid-Atlantic Zs I know (non-my350z members) to roll down as well. I'll let you know if we should add any to the list.

ok, i know its a newbie question, but how exactly are the runs organized? like is it essentially ***** out, bumper on bumper rally style, or are there different groups or classes that are for beginner/novice/i-think-i'm-a-pike's-peak-driver skill levels? seems like it would be a great time, i'm going to have to look into setting that weekend aside.

None of that at this event... the driving on Tail-of-the-Dragon is an at your own risk activity. There are no organized groups or anything of that nature as far as the driving goes. There is too much liability in that. There are social events at Fontana Village like the car show, and nightly dinners/gatherings... with plenty of 'free' time in between to drive the dragon.

Most recommend planning on going up early and spending Thursday/Fri on the dragon, and Saturday/Sunday socializing

BTW, make sure you pass along word to other Z owners in your area. Words getting out pretty well to the 350Z community already, but we want to see all generations of Zs well represented.

Yeah, I can't wait to drive the dragon... Can't deny I'm scared about someone pulling a "double yellow violation" on me though...

Yes, I can remember those 3 seconds like it was just yesterday...it's etched into my brain.

ZDayZ was undoubtedly the BEST meet/drive I've attended. If you love the history of the Z, or love driving your Z, then you must go! I can guarantee you will be on an adrenaline high once you finished (and survived) driving the Tail of the Dragon. There is no road like it here in the Mid-A region. Skyline Drive is CUTE in comparison. Blue Ridge is a disappointing tease compared to the TOD. I'm sure to the other guys agree with me.

Anyway, I am definitely in! I'm gonna book my room in the near future.

One thing to note is that you can get something akin to a hotel room in the "lodges" instead of getting a more expensive cabin. The room I was in last year was pretty nice and was something like $60/night. Check out the Fontana Village Web Site for more information. The beauty of this weekend is that it's like $120-$140 for two nights stay, gas for the trip and a couple of cheap meals plus the cost of a t-shirt and entrance into the car show (both options for the weekend).

This is the most affordable two days of driving and "living Z" you will find.

Oh nice i might just get a hotel room then, thats pretty cheap rates. Yea i'm excited. Btw i know there will be a MD caravan...but why don't we hook up with the NY/NJ/Pa or even further north. Like have a huuuuge caravan and meeting spots along the way for everyone from each state to meet.

Alright mid-A'ers,

Now is your chance to represent....The Capital 350Z / G35 Club is going to sponsor ZDayz this year. Our commitment to them is $100, so here's what I'd like to do....If you're planning on going and/or want to help the local club support this event, send me $5 or $10 via paypal (we can work out other methods offline, just PM me). As a small incentive, for anyone who commits $5 I will set you up with a free @capital350zclub.com web-mail account and if you send $10, I will set you up with an FTP account and 50 MB's worth of web-space you can use for picture and video hosting in addition to the email account.

Any dollar amount over $100 will go towards making window decals out of the graphic that represents the club on the ZDayZ T-shirts.

EDIT: My PayPal address is kcobean@nova350z.homeip.net.
